    hi Ruairi

never fold a banner mate. only loose roll it or roll it around a card tube like the ones that the vinyl is wound on.

creases, kinks on the folds can be down to the person hemming. the idea is to tack over a length of about 2ft at a time, all along the length before pressing into place then bonding firm with a roller.

however, although there is a slight knack to doing this, allot of problems can come about due to the grade of banner you are using. cheaper, stiffer, more brittle type banners crease and kink more easily. even more so in cold weather.

your hems need to be a minimum of an inch and make sure your eyelets have a minimum of 10mm in from the outside of the eyelet or the banner will tear itself were the banner is fastened to the eyelets. again, this happens so much more often with cheaper type banners.

its always better hemming, banners will curl progressively worse once fitted if no hem is used. looks cheap and naff also.
