Hi all, do you tend to take off the light panel for the number plate? or cut and feed in

As above, we also remove badges, handles, and lights from the rear doors when we wrap them.

We also remove the rear lights if we’re wrapping the rear 1/4 of the van, but have seen some who leave them in and trim around them.

If its easy done, then yes, take it off, as it makes the installation much faster and gives a much better finish.
however, the issue you can find with these parts is the screws are often rusted or clogged in some way and can be a hit or a miss to get off. just depends on the age of the vehicle, I guess.

fitting over the top of them isn’t the end of the world but you need to be careful not to tear the corners when you begin to stretch the vinyl into the deep recessed area.
Also, don’t trim along the underside before dropping it into the recess because it will come up short. trim the top around the plastic, leaving the large flap of vinyl and then begin to work the vinyl down into the recess. this means the excess vinyl on the flap will add a bit onto come up neat below the plastic moulding.

    hope that made sense. 😬

I also remove the whole lot, as Kevin said, it’s a 5 minute job and saves you so much time applying the graphics.

I’d also remove the hinges if I could lol.
