    Hi all,
just been sent a pretty urgent request for bottle labels that are printed on PP film, what is PP film and where to buy?

ps. if it’s clear film, I’ll need someone who can print and turn around fast!

    Best
    Hugh

    Hi Hugh

I’m more than sure the PP stands for polypropylene, you may need a company who’s a roll label printer.

Thank you Graham, I did wonder if that were that case. I’ll wait for the artwork to show up and then find a supplier if it’s not an in-house job!

    thanks,
    Hugh

Yeh as said it’s Polypropylene, reason you’d request that as it comes off whole unlike say a paper label and won’t stretch or distort like a vinyl label, also less susceptible to heat.

Used to work for a company years ago called ASG services who do them in high volume, but to be honest the couple of times I’ve had costs from them the rates have seemed very high, they do a lot of warehouse barcoding labels which requires a large amount of set up, so think they just don’t adjust the costings correctly when it comes to a straight run of the same design, but worth an enquiry.
