Thanks for the Tea Lynn
-
Went to see Stephen Ingham yesterday and on my return down the Motorway had to divert one junction for traffic and the diversion led me past Peter and Lynns so I had to say hello – mm maybe I should have posted this in the say hello section 😕 anyway nice to see you both 😀
-
It was nice to see you John sorry about the lack of biscuits 😀
Lynn
-
😀 😀 😀 who needs biscuits at their house when you have the pleasure of their company …… and that of Ozzy and Suzy? 😀
-
I hope you liked Lynn and Peter’s poodles!
Love….Jill -
I would only visit if I was promised chocolate biscuits :baby:
-

the bisquits are ready and waiting.Peter
See told you theyve got favourites 😮
Ohh and Jill – about the poodles
theyve grown since you were last over (probably fed on a rich biscuit diet)
😀 😀 -
quote Richard Urquhart:John I had biscuits !
Jammy Dodger!

John I was so pleased to see you biscuits went out of my head 😳 knew I’d forgotten something 🙄

Reminds me of a famous Scottish saying when guests arrived unexpectedly:-
"How nice to see you, and you’ll have had your tea?"

😀 😀
Cavan men here are ‘reputed’ to eat their dinners out of a drawer ….in case someone calls 😀 😀 -

I was going to offer John a buttie but I thought from being down south wouldn’t know what I meant 🙄
Lynn

We do keep a few biscuits in a tin somewhere, probably a bit soggy.
But we always have a warm welcome, for anyone from the boards.Peter

Lynn
in Glasgow we call that a Head Buttie, so wouldn’t go down well as a welcome. 😉
-
I always thought you called it a Glaswegian kiss?
A head but that is,,,
Peter

Very true peter, but sometimes it needs a bit of interpretation mate. :lol1:

No Biccies – No Visit…..somebody has to make a stand!! 😀
Over here ‘Buttie’ means somebody small, which makes Lynn’s offer a bit weird! 😀 😀 -
Lynn I love your new pic.
I can vouch for the hospitality of the Normingtons. Here a buttie is what you sit on.
And a common American saying for visitors is
"Here’s your hat. What’s your hurry?"
Love….Jill -
I try not get involved in anything to do with Buttie – just in case 😕
-
we have chip butties here, is that the same thing? 😮
Can vouch for Peter and Lynns hospitality too, ….. and the size of the poodles 😀
-
quote Shane Drew:….. and the size of the poodles 😀

i said to peter last week…gees your dogs are getting bigger, and peter replied "no your getting smaller" :lol1: :lol1:
