I need some vinyl for warehouse floor graphics which is durable. Its not the over laminate that will be the issue but the adhesion to the freshly painted warehouse floor.

Floor wrap never seems to be suitable in these circumstances as its more for temporary promotions.

    Any recommendations?

They would not be subject to huge footfall but they are expecting them to be durable enough to last a couple of years at least.

Cut a stencil and paint though it with a different colour of the same paint used for the floor.

Or alternatively just practice your signwriting skills and dont bother with the stencil!

Sadly thats not an option, the graphics need to be printed as it contains images.

I realise there is probably not a perfect solution to this but just need the best possible option.

Arlon DPF8000, that stuff sticks to anything, and will more likely require the floor repainting once removed.

I’ve a roll end here if you want to try a patch Wink

Thanks David, I will take your word for it’s durability… I get some costs and price on that.

Ha, no, not expecting miracles or anything but it should be able to withstand a little footfall and maybe the odd pump truck (no spinning obviously)…

Sorry, another quick question, is it a polished concrete floor painted or is it a rough builders merchant type concrete floor that’s painted?

Its a smooth polished and soon to be painted floor. The warehouse is fairly new. Thanks Rob

when you apply a vinyl to anything. it will only last as long as the surface you are adhering too.
    In this case, the paint!

if you have a nice smooth surface with a decent gloss or satin finish, the vinyl should stick well. I would also advise a heat right after and go over it firmly with a thick felt edged squeegee to help bond it better.

personally, I would just use a polymeric digital with a laminate if the print has to be protected.

This video, is just a handful of around 60-70 floors we have done around the world over the past 15 years, for my brother. you can see these floors are applied to polished concrete floors. and I can confirm, the footfall on some of these is around 100,000 people per month, probably much more in the hong kong shopping centre one.

Thanks Rob, they look great. Will have to have a think when the floor is finally finished.
