my mum always calls her (mostly unkept) garden a nature reserve, you name it, and she see’s it, i foten get sent pics of badgers, foxes, frogs, nutes, toads, other lizard things, etc etc,
she lives on the outskirts of a town, surrounded by town and houses on three sides, and a river with fields behind, a large semi wooded rockery leads down to the river, and the woods extend along the river for half a mile or so, until another river cuts them off, and fields begin,
now, badgers, foxes, squirrels etc i can understand, but this is what she saw from the kitchen window at 7:15 am this morning !!

Awww look at them!
I love their polka-dots.
We had 5 deer in the back yard yesterday.
Trouble is, most of them will be hit on the road eventually.
I live on a 4-lane highway.

my mums house is very much ‘old fashioned’, they have the usual double glazing and central heating, but the house was built in the thirties by my great grandparents and a local building co, i think it’s only been decorated about 8 times since ! flowers/plants/seedlings everywhere ! the old larder is still used as such, etc etc !

I remember as a kid bawling my eyes out too. And it was supposed to be a family movie. Maybe if you were the Osbornes or something. Not for the Drew family though.

The deer do look fantastic – what a picture.The plants on the window sill reminded me of my Grans house, every window sill in every single room were always full of plants or cuttings.

lol, thats just what most of em are/were, geranium cuttings ! was at me ma’s yesterday and dad popper a dvd in, had nearly 15mins footage of the deer in the garden. if he puts it on disc for me, there’s some great stills that could be taken from it !

Hugh that would be nice to see no chance of deers visiting our garden 😛 we do have a cheeky fast squirrel though 🙄
