off on a wee holiday!
-
Well I’m off next week for a 5 day holiday in the Yorkshire Dales! 😀
Booked a log cabin with an outdoor hot tub!!!! 😀 Em and I can’t wait! It’s pet friendly so our wee beast is coming with us! Plenty walking hopefully.I’m going to be in Aysgarth near Leyton, if anyone knows the area and can give me any tips on places to visit I’d be most grateful! 😀 Would like to make the most of my few days away.

Lucky you
Don’t know the area too well but I know its a beautiful part of Yorkshire. Like Chalk and Cheese to where I live lol. You should have a ball.
Cheers

Have a wonderful time!
Rachael and I just had a "getaway" a few weeks back.
Our was more like a nightmare tho!
(did not like our B&B)
But log cabins are fun! Particularly when they have an outdoor hot tub.
Enjoy.
Love….Jill -
Have a enjoyable time Marcella, sure you don’t need me to tell you that and it’s nice you have found a place where you can take the whole family.

Hi Marcella, hope you will all have a fabulous time, the Dales are one of my favourite places! Geoff & I were that way last year, bit of a memory lane trip, as I did my RGN training at Airedale Hospital many years ago, so was lovely to go back. (First time for a while).
You aren’t too far from Skipton, which is a lovely old market town, and has got some fab shops and cafe’s. The pork pie shop is famous, and we always have an order list when someone we know is going, if you like pork pies, they are made on the premises every day.
My fondest memories are of Malham, and Malham Tarn, where we spent a lot of time walking, and the kids still remember the camping holiday we had there when they were little.
Bolton Abbey-lovely place for a wander, and maybe a picnic….Oh, I hope the weather is good for you Marcella! The Dales are lovely, softer than the Scottish scenery, but just as beautiful in their own way.
Have fun all of you. 😀

Hi Marcella
Not too sure about Aysgarth Leyton, but if its Aysgarth near Leyburn then really beautiful although quite a while since I’ve been. There’s Aysgarth Falls definitely worth a visit, and you are very close to Hawes were you’ll find the Wensleydale creamery…

and if you like wandering around market towns your spoilt for choice with Richmond Northallerton and Harrogate.Totally ignore all of that if your nowhere near Aysgarth Leyburn 😳 :lol1: but have fun

:lol1: :lol1: that’s Georgio for you
Sounds great Marcella, have a good time and hope the weather is kind 😎

going away again! :lol1: Have a great time Marcie.
Cathy and I left the kids with the grandparents and had a weekend away in Toowoomba. Its great to recharge the batteries without having ‘are we there yet’ or ‘how much longer’ or ‘I’m bored’ coming from the kids. :lol1:
Post some pics when you get back.
George would no doubt like one with women in the hot tub. 😉

Well, back to the grind today.
The Yorkshire Dales are really beautiful! The Lodge was outstanding and the countryside breathtaking. 😀
Took a drive to Harrogate and Skipton too, Harrogate is really lovely. But the best places are the small villages and Hamlets in between. I envy those of you who live in that part of the country, it’s so nice.
I’d love to go back. 😀
