Hi. Making my own “contravision” for a customer, because it needs to be white on the glue side – its in a factory and there is no access to the window from that side.

The point is not to be able to see in from the factory floor, but looking out is okay.

Anyhow, my question is, is it better to do the cut lines vertically or horizontally for this? Which way works better to confuse the vision from outside to inside? or does it even make a difference?

    Thanks all.

this rear bus window is based on 3mm / 2mm / 3mm / 2mm spaces and done in vertical slats.
I don’t think it really matters which way you go to get the effect, but I always opt for vertical. mostly because water runs down the slats, rather than sitting on the ridge.

Thanks Rob. Makes sense about the water. This one is inside a building, but I think I will do it vertical for when they wash the windows.

This is a brilliant idea. is it just lines cut through the print?
