Illustrator opacity mask lorry wrap
Afternoon everyone,
I’m using cs5 to create a lorry cab wrap. I know how to create an opacity mask to fade into an image however, I can’t for the life of me work out how to do it from both directions. I’m aware that you can change the angle but this still does not give me the correct finish. I’m looking to fade into the image from both the bottom and right side. Can’t for the life of me work it out. Any help appreciated
In CC, you’d need to edit the mask, draw the shape you want to mask, and use black/white for gradient for the fade.
Accessible from the appearance menu -> Opacity
Here’s a screenshot from CCYou could try a circular mask, with the centre to the top left. Adjust the size until you get the desired result.
That should be a nice wrap once done, please post some pictures when complete!
Sorry, I cannot help with regards to illustrator, I am strictly Signlab and Photoshop.
