THE streets of London may not be paved with gold but a £16 million superyacht has come to the capital seeking a gilded fortune.

Passersby were left stunned as they saw sailboat Bellami being wrapped in sheets of golden chrome while docked at Canary Wharf.

The luxury ship was being glammed up before it hosts fashion and beauty influencers for London Fashion Week – who will have use of a fully-stocked hair salon.
The imposing vessel can sleep 12 guests in six staterooms and boasts a large pool, a spa and a glass waterfall.
For those who want even more bling, the yacht also comes complete with a large Jacuzzi, sun loungers and matching gold jet-skis.
Wrapping with vinyl is a popular way for the car and small boat lovers to glam up their vehicle’s appearance, as it is far cheaper and easier than paint.

Company LuxWrap claims it’s the world’s largest chrome wrap – but the dazzling yacht hadn’t proved a hit with all locals.
One local said: "It’s grotesque. It just shows that some people have more money than sense."
Another said: "This is all that is wrong with the world. You can’t buy class."

I thought it looked nice when I did it haha…

But nah I bet that was mega money and I bet it’s gone one of two ways. It’s either not paid, or they where the biggest pain in hoop and only paid a part of it.

Like or loath it…..the wrap has done it job as we are talking about it……otherwise it is just another super yacht :smiles:

My Spandex rep told me about this when it was done……Luxwrap were the company that did it….the vinyl cost price was around 60K

Was told yesterday that the job wiped out all european stock of the material, its also failing at an alarming rate. Apparently it was only planned as a short term thing for a rich arab wedding. Must be nice to have that kind of money to throw away
