Hi guys, I’ve been floating around the boards for a while now and haven’t really introduced myself correctly. So as i’ve gone official and uploaded a pic and got my gold membership i thought now was an ideal time. My name’s Kev and i’ve been in the game about 18 years working for various signmaking / graphics companies. I started off working the 4b & Sprint machines a long, long time ago. Does anyone remember what it was like digitizing on the GDSII??? Well from there i spent 5 years as a photographic mounter (before the age of the inkjet) Everything had to be laid up individually, etch bleach background prints, overmounts, text etc.
took bloody ages back then. Anyway when the inkjet finally came along i managed to get myself into a position where i could jump aboard that bandwagon and learn the digital side of things. After a few years i was made studio manager for a well known graphics company in the events industry. Travelled all over Europe doing on site graphics for product launches / conferences etc. Now i’m a production manager for a signmakers in Hertfordshire. So hello to all and hopefully i will be able to help anyone out i can in the future. Kev PS i’d also like to thank anyone that has helped me out in the past – cheers guys (& gals)
Boarder mate, that was earlier this year in Zermatt, Switzerland. Mt Rosa behind me with the Matterhorn to my right. It’s the highest viewing platform in Europe, makes you feel quite dizzy!!! Took about 1 3/4 hours to get there and about 15 mins to get back down 😀 There’s also ice caves under the glacier with a wine exhibition in it – quality! Kev
