Error 0008 0008 when cutting metallics
Hi,
First time today I have ran into this error code. So it print for 30 mins for a very short run and then when it starts to cut it gets a few stickers in and boom, error 0008 0008 pops up. Happened a few times in a row where I can’t print the order 8(.
I have tried to leave media loose in me the back and also all rollers down. Can’t seem to find a solution.
Print and cut on standard vinyl earlier as normal. Seems don’t play well with kernow print and cut metallics?.
Any advice would be appreciated. Is a vs640i.
Thank you.
this from the manual. for error 0008
Check cable connection between Main Board and Servo Board.
Check the other cable connections of Servo Board.
Servo Board replacement
Main Board replacement
Flexible cable replacement.my guess is if it still cuts standard vinyls ok then the metallic may be creating a lot of static corrupting the signal between the boards. or idea if using very high cut pressure may possibly affect it.
Hey Chris,
The cutting pressure may have been the issue.
I adjusted the blade to so it was further out and then applied less pressure and it worked. 5M down the drain but you live and learn.
Thanks for the advice mate.
