    Hello,

Just enquiring if anyone on the boards does Tampo printing. I need to get some recycled plastic coffee cups printed in 1 colour (white on black, and blue on white), with personalisation if possible. Please PM if anyone can help.

    Many thanks,
    Jamie

Also known as pad printing. It basically transfers a 2D print onto a 3D object.

I cannot imaging anyone would use pad printing to do personalising individual cups, especially the time taken to make the cliches individually. You about someone with a mimaki flatbed UV with the kebab option for cylindrical objects? I know a couple of places, not that they are members here to my knowledge. Can I share the website?

I think you are correct, pad printing wouldn’t work with personalisation, so I’d be happy with just a single colour logo. We’ve tried digital on a small UV flatbed with kebab, but the ink didn’t stick. We think it’s due to the recycled material – it has a almost a greasy feel to it.

    Have you considered screen printing?

I’d be happy with screen printing, as long as the ink sticks, and printing on a curve is OK.
