    Hi folks…

I have a vinyl installation job in Birmingham that is required a.s.a.p.

Basic numbers cut in yellow vinyl. (we will provide the numbers)
    Numbers only, 1 -to- 16.
    800mm High.

Each number will be fitted to large up-and-over roller doors.
The doors have large flat sections, not curved.
the photo is “not” the actual doors, but will be in the sort of style of door.
The baseline of the numbers should be fitted approximately 10ft from the ground.

Full details, photos and spec will be provided prior to you committing.

If you would like to quote me to do this job, please contact me at

I have to admit, these jobs scare me.

Funnily enough I have never done one maybe for that reason but I’ve seen so many that are failing where each panel joins maybe from the grease etc.

I’m sure it’s just a matter of giving it a good clean but why do I see so many failures? Surely not everyone fails to clean it properly?

    Hi Dan

there could be a few reasons mate…

    * Panel not been cleaned properly.
    * The metal panel surface is too cold, so repels proper adhesion.
    * The joins should not be slit but trimmed back 2mm on either side of the join.
    * After application, the joins should be heated to promote adhesion. (in cool weather)
    * A decent Polymeric vinyl should be used.

otherwise, it should be a simple straightforward application.
We have done tons of these over the years, but it’s hard to justify the cost for us to travel to Birmingham from Glasgow for 16 numbers. 🙂
