• xp auto updates….

Posted by Hugh Potter on February 10, 2010 at 10:50 am

hi all, almost every night this past week or two, my pc has auto updated and restarted, while i always save before locking up for the night, it does mea i have a clean desktop and have to remember what files i had open, in short it’s damned annoying.

can someone simply talk me through how to switch off auto update restarts? i’m certain it only used to update when i shutdown or told it to do so, it would simply notify me there were updates ready rather than install them.

    thanks,
    HUgh
