white fade effect signlab 9.1 HELP
Hi all
hopefully somebody can help.
I have a costumer who as requested a white fade effect to be printed onto optically clear film, we have previously produced this in grey colour to achieve a frost effect with success, however for some reason the Rip will not print the same effect in white.
Am i missing something?
we are set up with signlab 9.1, Rasterling 6.1 and Mimaki UCJV 300 with white.any help or guidance would be apreciated

White -fades to- Clear.
would you not just create a white blend fading to clear?edit:
ah, wait… there must be a setting for the RIP or whatever to identify the white as a colour as it would normally disregard the white as the media colour. -

That’s the issue I’ve got, I create the effect using the linear gradient tool and send to raster link then I’ve tried to allocate the white however it wont allow me to select it:shake:

in corel and roland think you have too set both ends of the fade to special ink white but apply the tint command to reduce one end to nil. seem to remember that’s how we did it.
