What I hate about being a sign maker
I love my job – I really do. Sign making is a very satisfying and rewarding occupation, but there’s one hazard of the job that really gets me down.
Bad Weather..
More specifically, trying to plan a day to fit some exterior signs only to wake up in the morning to find it blowing a gale or pouring with rain. Meanwhile you’re feeling pressurised by the customer to get the job done when conditions make it very unpleasant if not downright dangerous.

Winter Phil….. Just had to order our first gas bottle for the factory today, £85.00 per week from now till the sun reappears in march/April 😀

weather is a killer at every level from signage to vans…
nothing worse than it being cold. im actually getting electric central heating installed in the next couple of weeks.
been trying to get gas for years but the is an issue with the local gas main, so electric central heating it is!still, isnt going to solve trying to hold cold screws with numb fingers whilst using a cordless and it skids off and catches skin… :yikes:

I hate the customers who know they want something but don’t know really what they do want, but it’s not what ever you show them, and when it’s done, it’s not what they wanted……… FFS

Funny all this talk about hating the bad weather. I gave up window cleaning to become a signmaker cause i hated the long cold wet winters. LOL

no..now I’ve thought of a really good one which really stresses me out…computers and machinery playing up…and it always tends to be when I’m really really really busy… 👿 👿 👿 👿 :baby:
