    Hi, Help or advice please?
My SP300i has started printing super slow instead of going back and forth repeatedly, it does a pass then literally waits a few mins before the next pass waited 30 minutes and it had printed 3cm of vinyl ? Saying black ink low, but even tried printing pure cyan colour text and still the same.

I have turned everything off and on, cleaned it etc but basically unuseable as is unless you want to wait 24 hours to print 4ft of print 🙄

    Hi Carlos

I have never experienced that kind of problem on our Roland printers, but that said, I haven’t had Roland printers for many years now.

I commented something similar a month ago on a completely different issue, but…
Roland solvent machines have a delay setting in the RIP to allow ink drying time.

You can set different times between the print finishing and the contour cut starting, to allow the ink to dry properly.

It might be that you have selected the wrong setting or profile, and it has increased the time between passes to minutes.

The Black warning may just be a coincidental nag warning, because it is allowing the printer to print, albeit slowly.
