I recently wrapped my own VW New Beetle. It started off as a silver one.
First wrapped in solid black and then added a contour-cut full-color print.
Our logo is cut in reflective vinyl. The side windows are covered with one-way vision.

Cheryl, I used Avery Supreme wrapping film for the solid black
and Avery MPI 1005 for the print

nice job, so it is not a black beetle at all? how was the material to fit?

Excellent job – well done. Lots of compound curves to struggle with 😮

Sheryl, it was a silver one indeed, the material was very nice to work with.
Until now I mainly used Grafityp, but this material is a specific wrap vinyl.
It’s a new vinyl overhere, has been introduced only a month ago.
It was the first time I worked with an air-release vinyl, but it surely speeded up the installation.

    Very tidy job,
did you manage to do the front and rear wings in one piece all the way round? just asking because I am looking at wrapping a beetle soon

Excellent work Benno, just the right balance of image and solid background.

    Peter,

I used one piece for every wing, but I cut a template out of backing paper first and cut a piece of vinyl that was about 10 cm bigger on each side.
So I ended up with a curved piece of vinyl before i started applying.

The only part that I had to patch is the recess for the back numberplate.
