    Hey Guys,

I have just returned to the sign-making industry after having been out of it for 10 years (not ‘out of it’ in the stupified sense lol, just been abroad).

Just posting regarding the software which contains the blueprints and measurements of nearly every vehicle, and would just like to know which one you would recommend – assuming there are several? Also, I see that you can also pay a few Euros (just did a quick search and this particular site quoted in Euros) to get the blueprints and measurements on a vehicle by vehicle basis; can anyone shed any light/ recommend this?

I think this software had just been developed around the time I packed it in in 2010, or at least became more affordable, so I only ever did it the old school way of taking photos and measuring it then losing the photos or forgetting the measurements etc etc.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Great to see uksignboards still up and running by the way! You do a great job.

    Cheers, Rob

    Hi Rob

Thanks for the intro and comments mate, much appreciated.

In my opinion, the best one os the original one created by UK signboard member and supplier to uksigngroup, Brian Hays.

No templates on the market are 100% accurate, so no matter what you use it’s not going to be bang on, but Brians have always been closest by far.

Most available are European or American, so the cars are not listed the way we would like them. or there are lots of cars and vehicles we would never use. whereas Brians is!

i.e. cars will be listed as Vauxhall, rather than Opel. if that makes sense!

I have been using this software for at least 20 years now, I think. https://www.vehicleoutlines.co.uk/

I have Mr Clipart (old disc) and I have one or two impact discs and keep to those only. if I don’t have a vehicle, I just measure it up the old way. that said, maybe I should be renewing my impact one. Innocent
