  • Updating fonts with flexisign pro?

Posted by Ewan Chrystal on December 3, 2012 at 12:34 am

Hi All, recently purchased a couple of power mac’s with flexisign pro. Not sure what version but i reckon quite an old one. Anyway, the very first sign i made today and FS didnt have the font the customer wanted. How do i go about updating the fonts?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ewan

If you add the font to the operating system the next time you open Flexisign the font will be available to you….at least that is how it works on a Windows pc.

Same on the Mac, but I’m not sure wether in some older versions, Flexi limits the number of fonts installed.

Check to see if there is a set up for font’s if it’s an older version. Inspire Pro (pre flexi) has a set up option for font’s other than TT fonts. TT fonts are handled by the operating system on a windows based PC but other fonts like type one, ikarus, etc you can specify a location where they are stored.

Flexi reads all the fonts installed on the system when it starts up, but if you add a new font you will have to restart Flexi or it won’t show up.
