  • Turkey or Bulgaria

Just had a thought – as I’ve decided to retire this year, me and herself have been discussing moving from Spain to either Turkey or Bulgaria when the business is sold- well, why not?

I will probably find that I’m not really fed up with sticky backed plastic really and may like to do a bit of work later on, without the stress and commitment of a large-ish shop and staff and things.

Do we have any members in either of these places or, if not, does anyone know if there is likely to be any opportunity for the likes of me -(older, slightly potty but a bon-viveur).

I would be interested to hear from any of us lot who have any experiences or thoughts on the subject.

    Feliz Nuevo Año amigos!

    thinking about it lynn

we did go to turkey years ago and thought it would be nice to live there
we didn’t choose a place we crossed from one side to the other we got stopped in some places longer than others but it’s always a go back to place maybe that should be our new year thing !!

Thanks for the replies guys and gals….it seems that Turkey wins ’cause of the weather. That’s one of the main reasons I’m in Spain (as well as the cost of booze and stuff)

Hey Andy – stop dreamin’ and get going….,we’re located on the Costa del Sol – about 15 miles inland from Malaga and about 15 miles from Fuengirola. The countryside is nice,as are the people, the cost of living is low and we’re the only show in a massively growing area. So crack open your piggy bank!!

Lynn-I’ve just noticed you’re in Luton–some very special friends are from Luton, but spend more time here than there – they’ve got it right!

Hey Ho – back to work

    Hasta Luego

Lee, I used to get down there quite often, In my other life I delivered rolls royces and stuff to Ashmawi in san Pedro. If you want some extra work see albert, tell him I sent you. The Shiekh owns his own fleet of planes, might need them signed up!

I am from Bulgaria and can say that if it comes to weathrer, the advantage for Bulgaria is that there is hot summer and snowy winter. So, if you like both skiing and beaching-you’ve got it all there. And it is cheap!
The properties are really cheap also, but hurry up as boost is expected when we join EU in 2007:
