  • Truck curtain vinyl, SION coated, advice needed?

    Happy Monday folks!

We don’t do a lot of truck curtains. But we have a good customer that has bought one with a curtain one side. Normally do there fleet in Avery supreme burgundy’s and a cast cream. It is just a shape and text on the curtain side.

Tried APA but they are worried as it is sion based. Any suggestions? Will need to be a printable so we can match colours.

I don’t do much on truck curtains these days. I try to steer away from them unless in quantity.
When we do it’s normally APA we use, and I am not clued up on SION based curtains, so I can’t advise on this one.
Alternatively, Avery and 3M do curtain vinyl, but not as competitive as APA.

If it wasn’t a digital print you were doing, I would suggest just stencilling in the text using Apollo Inks!

I assume its print to match colours?

As @Robert-Lambie said, you could stencil and paint. We’ve done one curtain using this method, I’m in no rush to do it again.

If you’re layering colours too, the thinner can reactivate the other colour. It also took us longer than we anticipated. Here’s a time-lapse of us fitting it. https://youtu.be/Zk6OZ9Mv0lA
