  • The Solution for fitting flat cut lettering on a roughcast wall

How often have you tried to fit flat cut lettering onto a roughcast or brick wall only to find the drill bit slips slightly and the holes for the screws end up slightly out of alignment? Consequently, the cups don’t quite line up with the pegs putting strain on the letters often causing the pegs to snap off.

Well I think I have the answer.

It’s a cup or with an extended section for the screw to move within allowing the cup to be adjusted in all directions to line up with the peg.

The example in the photo below (on the right) is 3d printed and is the same size as a signgeer small simplefix cup (shown on the left)

Great idea Phil, and we’ve often wondered why they haven’t created cups with off centre holes to allow for a little more movement.

You can get bolts that will suit holes like that already, this handy chart has kept me right in all my engineering life.

Thats an easy one, as long as you treat a ratchet spanner as a consumable 😆

I have a joker ratchet spanner, it won’t work with the brass locators as it’s only the ring end thats ratchet not the open end.

No, the joker only has a ratchet on the ring end
