Does anyone have this in place for when a client supplies their own prints for mounting / laminating and it goes pear shaped? As I agreed to mount some supplied prints and when the client arrived with them they were printed on the thinnest paper possibly available. The first couple went through without any problem but the last one had a crease through it.

Does anyone warn their customers in advance about this?

    Thanks

    Kev

Any prints, boards, vinyl etc supplied by our customers, we do warn them before hand that although we will do our very best there is a chance it could go pearshaped. So yes, we do pre-warn them. Had a few issues in the past with this sort of thing

I always notify by email that problems can arise unless I make the whole job and I get confirmation after this for me to continue . I’ve had a lot of experience in clients going out for cheap print then expecting it to lam and lay without a hitch. I do say that if we printed and it messed up we would replace it as part of the service and as they are third party prints are not covered by our normal service . Keep the emails as confirmation

Yes we warn them, and they sign the ‘happy to proceed’ work ticket 😀
