    Hi

im looking into buying a used Summa Sign Pro – T1400,

i will be upgrading from a p-cut so i know there will be no comparison but is it still worth buying an older machine,
seeing as i would not be able to buy one of these from new,
and i can see from the forums there’s still a few about,

    cheers,
    Paul

I have a summasign machine which is now 16 years old and still churning out work every day. These are very reliable and robust machines so providing it is fully functional and showing no signs of wear then I would recommend one.

Before you commit – get the current owner to run some tests.

Ask for 20, 10 & 8mm CIRCLES and ARIAL text and a photo / scan to be sent.

That way you can check the wear on the machine…20 should be perfect, 10 also…8mm and under is where minor play & wear will show up. So long as they look good it’s a great investment.

Perfect ‘T’ machines will cut 5 to 6mm text…even less sometimes.
