well had a quick look round and all seems to be in order at first glance..
so im more than happy at the moment..
i would be interested to see what everyones veiws on the general speed of the new server is?
im flicking through some pages at the moment and i dont know if its wishful thinking or not but things seem to be that bit more responsive for me.. anyone else?

like rob has said.. if you find a problem then let us know. we may stummble across a couple of the next day or so.. so please let us know a.s.a.p.

I keep trying to access the demos such as the blue butterfly demo etc on the home page, but when I click on the links it opens another homepage?………… Its like Im living a ‘Ground Hog Day’!!! 😀

viewing profiles is somthing Rob did a while back, there’s a group you need to be a member of to view profiles, as of some time ago it’s only got rob and mike in it. I’m sure Rob will be sorting out who should be in that group some time 🙂

as for the demos, that’s a problem caused with the fact that they link back to https://www.uksignboards.com/…….. this is a problem cos the demos are now on this server, which as yet isn’t named https://www.uksignboards.com I’ll have a look at fixing up a temperory fix for that as soon as I get a min. should be some time in the next hour or so.

right, I’ve updated the scripts that link the old site to the new one, so as of now all you’re bookmarks should work ok, and the links from one story to another seem to be working fine as well.

let me know if anyone finds anything else for me to fix 🙂

I was just looking to do a search, on a topic that was running a short while back. but alas the search tool doesn’t seem to be working!

on further investigation, it seems it does work but only for posts made after the server switch. Any chance of getting this back again as i use it quite a lot!??

doh, I knew there was something I was meant to do 😉

I didn’t copy the indexes over from the old server, and so the new server can’t find any of the old posts in the indexes. I’ll try and fix that up for you this evening. oops, and sorry for the delay 😳

there we go, all the searches should be working again. let me know if there are any other little glitches.

(oh and sorry for the 45 min of down time, I didn’t think it would take that long, and I didn’t realise that it would disable the site. but it’s done now.)
