Hi all, here’s a a quick little off the brush number on a restored vintage farm tipper cart. A little awkward as the tipper gear lever was in the way a tad and the panel was a bit grainy but hey I like a challenge……!

Thanks Chris……not very complicated, just a quick outline, ipod on and way to go.

Actually painted in an open fronted barn on a very, very rare sunny day we had recently!

Nice to see good handpainted work Neil, yes it is difficult when youve got obstacles in the way. Hopefully Ive attached a photo of a piece of work I finished recently a ‘trompe l’oeil’ , painted on a galvanized sheet using gloss paint. Ive done a lot of hand painted work especially in Hay on Wye on the Welsh Borders, cheers John

That looks great John, is that a view from behind the wall? Show us some more of your work. Do you paint many signs?

Here’s one of mine, a bit of a fantasy view in a bathroom painted on treated mdf in acrylics then varnished.

    Cheers Neil

Thanks Neil, I’ve just managed to upload another photo but I’m having problems sorting out my photos since I removed them and not got them back on to computer properly. I need to sort it.
No the customer asked for a romantic landscape with old castle or church, behind the wall is a cattle market!
Since that photo the black edges have been covered by a builder using 2×1 wood which isn’t big enough also there is now a good stone step in front but I’m going back to put 4×4" stuff to make it look more convincing as a doorway1. Thanks for your interest John

Thats a lovely piece of work Phil it looks great. Ive done bits and bobs of work on a similar traction engine but not the whole thing.

Looks great Phil, love the blended shading.

That must have been a pleasure to do. I’ve done a few vintage trucks but never a steam engine.
