Anyone able to advise if this possible or not as it’s starting to get a little tedious.

Suppose we’re printing 200 stickers, we will print say 25 copies in one batch with registration marks, rip the 1 page with the 25 on, then print 8 copies of that page.

When we come to cut them on our graphtec through VPM, it cuts the first set fine, then goes to read the 2nd set, scan’s the marks, but because the origin has been reset doesn’t cut the 2nd batch.

It’d save me having to keep getting up, walking into the back to reset the origin and cut them 1 at a time, if it would automatically read the 2nd pages marks and cut, then proceed to the next.

Is it possible, and if so what bizzare setting and I missing in VPM?

The barcode system on my new HP is brilliant line up the first run hit the barcode button & will cut a full roll of different labels even up side down. It’s class [emoji106]

When your loading the material in David are you selecting rear set or from set?

Rear set usually always delivers the results your erring with copies whereas front set doesn’t for whatever reason I don’t know. Also make sure you have advance set on the cutter after each job, 10mm should do it but we have 20 as we have 25mm between copies/jobs

When loading the media on the plotter, we only get 3 options:

    1 – Roll -1 Rear Set
    2 – Roll -2 Rear Set
    3 – Sheet

Screenshot from VPM with the setting’s for the plotter shown.

The 70mm spacing, is the spacing between the registration marks with the feed direction arrows included.

It seem’s to reset the origin to the mark, and throws a wobbly because it then scan’s the mark as out of bounds.

We would always have to use ‘roll 1 rear set’ , the other options gives the same result as your getting.

We don’t use signlab, we use Adobe illustrator with the graphtec plugin for reg marks etc and cut via cutting master so this may be another option to try if it persists.
