  • Signlab v10 Software – Layer Viewer, help needed please?

    Afternoon all,

Sign Lab 10 user here. Layer Viewer is driving me crazy. I understand the principle of it and I suppose some users will find it useful. In my case, I hate it. Every time I hit CTRL & B to send an object the back, up comes pesky Layer Viewer. I don;t need it. I don’t use it. I keep on ticking ‘merge all layers on import’ which is supposed to turn off the layer viewer feature but, it keeps coming back.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to disable the feature?

    Send an email to support@cadlink.co.uk

    They normally answer quite quick

There is no way to turn this off completely.
You should not need to keep on checking the "merge all layers on import", once checked it should stay checked, make sure you apply before clicking OK.

The layer viewer will only show if more than one layer exists. you can then in the Layer Viewer, select any Layer, use the […] button and merge all layers.

Additional layers tend to be added when AI,EPS or PDF type files are imported.

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks for the replies. I now know why layer viewer keeps popping up at least – Ray’s explanation on importing eps, ai’s and the like is causing it to be deployed.

I guess I’m just an old fart that finds layer viewer far too complicated.

If there could ever be an option to turn it off in the future……
