  • Signlab 9.1 constantly crashing – help required, please?

    Hello people, just wondering if any other signlab users are experiencing the same issues as us. We run version 9.1 on 2 computers and they are both crashing extremely frequently. For example yesterday between 4pm and 5pm, it crashed a total of 8 times which in my opinion is ridiculous. Ive been in contact with cadlink for weeks but Im not getting anywhere. Has anybody else had this and able to offer any advice?

    not sure if version 9 runs dongles like we have for our earlier versions, but could it be a dongle issue?

    Hi Rob,

    We run signlab on 2 computers and they are both crashing. They both use a dongle so I think we are being very unlucky if its an issue with both of them! I wondered if automatic windows updates could affect anything, I asked Cadlink but Im not getting any usefull answers. Might get the hammer out.

    What is it you are doing (trying to process) that causes it to crash?

    Hi, its just simple things like inputting text. I expect a crash every now and again when handling a large file, but this is happening constantly on the simplest of simple tasks, and is very frustrating.

    Have you updated your software lately as this could be the cause, when we updated to build 6, we experienced a lot of crashing. I would have thought Ray at Cadlink would have been able to help

    Hi Reza,

    Yes we updated to build 6 a few weeks ago on Rays recommendation after i was experiencing problems with drop shadows missing parts off. Since this update we have been having crashes with a ridiculous frequency. Can I ask how you solved your crashing issues after updating (if you have solved them that is)

    We were experiencing similar problems :banghead:. 1 week after applying the new update, we installed new computers throughout our office and had to re-install Signlab on all 4… we did not apply the latest update. I would contact Ray again as at the time, they didnt have an update that fixed the problems. Unless you want to uninstall and re-install again?
