Siglab 9.1 P&C / lost printer on VPM
Posted by Lorraine Clinch on April 10, 2017 at 10:13 amFired up my PC last week to find no printer or cutter in Signlab rip. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I finally got the cutter re-installed, although the settings are different now, but the printer will not install at all. Can anyone shed shed some light Please? Getting desperate.

Sounds daft but have you checked the dongle is in place and working? I spent 20mins trying to work out why onyx wasn’t connecting or finding the HP latex, then realised the dongle was in my laptop bag!!! :blushing:

Hi Hugh, yes, dongle all OK. I just do not have a clue what is going on. I have lost a queue before, but never ‘everything’. I’ve tried re-installing, updating drivers, nothing works as it should, or used to.
I tried system restore too, but the PC said it was unable to restore.
Been a week now with no print output!Lorraine

I’m pretty sure this has happened to us.
As we had bought a signlab program within 6 months we were able to talk to Bernard where he down loaded the latest upgrade onto our computer and reinstalled vmp
Tec us free via an email, Ray and Bernard just love to help IMO

Thanks Denise. I had our local PC repair guy out today, he did reinstall VMP and it is now all working again, fingers crossed that it is all still there tomorrow when I come back in.
We were wondering if it is anything to do with Windows 10 upgrades or something, as has been acting strangely for a few weeks now.
I will contact Cadlink tomorrow to get their views on whether I need to upgrade my Signlab (even though it is less than 1 year old).Lorraine

We run VPM on windows 10, had the que go missing but not for a while.
The updater for Signlab is a separate program you tube video here, should be similar in W10.

I think the latest one was 9.1 v9 might be wrong lol. Cadlink will tell you.

So I am on 9.1, v1. The updater says updates not available at this time, so I will have to contact Cadlink for sure.
Thank you for your help.
