    Hi All

Just a quick question to see what’s "normal", we installed security in to our unit and thought it would reduce our insurance premium but apparently it makes no difference how secure you are even though part of the policy dictates the type of locks you need on the doors etc but install an expensive alarm system makes no difference to their risk :awkward:

Anybody have experience in this scenario? Would be interested to know, I haven’t "shopped around" for new insurers for years so not sure if this is the norm or not.

    Cheers

    Warren

Some insurers stipulated you need red care, or similar monitored alarms.

I would speak to a broker, who will come round and see your premises, machines and understand exactly what you do. We’ve an excellent broker who tailored a policy to exactly what we need, including working at height, driving customers vehicles, etc.
