Scan Motor error 0040 0040, advice needed please?
Wondering if anyone can help.
Have a scan motor error 0040 0040, no media jam and cant see anything preventing the carriage from moving.
Need to finish some work tonight.

Hubby says it could be a number of things Steff.
First try switching the machine off and then on again. Check the cutting blade isn’t fouling.
Maybe even try a limit initialisation. (had this on our XC 540)Failing that it’s likely to be the scan motor at fault.

Its an RF 640 Stafford. I have had an engineer out on Friday, it needs a new thingy that does the wiper bit.
