    Hey guys

I did a stupid thing the other day and ruined my head after just converting over to the new eco solvent max 3 inks (nothing to do with the inks)

I have now decided that I will convert to 3rd party inks so i have a practically a new set of inks available if anyone wants to make me an offer, they have literally been put into the machine and a few cleans.

I have uploaded a photo of the ink remaining, I also have a 220ml magenta and black still sealed.

So to confirm I have the following:

    500ml Light Cyan
    220ml Cyan
    500ml Light Magenta
    500ml Magenta
    220ml Yellow
    500ml Black
    500ml Light Black
    200ml White

Unopened 220ml in Magenta and 220ml in Black all inks eco solvent max 3

I also have a very partially used magenta 220ml eco sol max 2 just to literally do 1 cleaning cycle as I couldn’t convert over while it was empty, plus the remaining eco sol max 2 inks all 440mls with literally not much in them.

    Hi,
I know is old post, and I’m not about to make an offer to you, but I’ve unanswered my own post, where I questioning about eco sol max 3 conversion, its looks like you did opposite thing – converting form original inks to 3rt party, and even on same type machine (VSi), so if I can ask you for advise about conversion to max3, will be pleased also to hear about which 3rd party ink you convert to and are you happy with them, and most important can you tell me what "mistake" during conversion to max3 you make to avoid it myself please? Many thanks

Hi, converting to Eco sol max 3 inks was easy, I just needed to make sure both versaworks and the printer firmware were both the latest versions. I then followed a guide to basically tell me what buttons to push in order to drain the existing ink and add the new inks. Not sure if I still have the guide but I can take a look. I don’t recall having to put any draining fluid In or anything but then I was running Eco sol max 2 inks. My issue came with regards to white ink, mine was already blocked and I tried changing a damper by myself and got caught out. The amount it cost was stupid and I was given a good deal on 3rd party inks so I just went with it as it saved me a few pounds.

    Hi,
I need to switch back from 3rd party inks – MaraJet DI-SX – to EcoSol max2 or max3, i contacted roland support and they told me that is not recommended to switch back to genuine inks without engineer to have a look as maybe all wet parts need to be exchanged and best will be to keep using inks that are already loaded, as due to different chemicals used it may cause serious problems… That isnt what I want to hear, I hope to use standard switch procedure to eco sol max3, but i heared that at least full flush and head flush needs to be done with possible captop, wipers and dampers replacement needed if I want to switch to Max3… What about if I want switch back to max2? On Marabu website they said it’s compatible inks with max2 and don’t require even flush…

    http://signtradesupplies.co.uk/marajet-eco-solvent-inks
What should I do? I don care much about wasting 3rd party inks, even when there still is 60% ink in them, I just want safely back to original inks…
You did conversion from max2 to max3 or 3rd party to max3? Have you got any problems after changing to max3?

I didn’t have any issues but I was going from max 2 to max 3, I’m guessing Roland are saying this as a precaution but as I don’t know what your 3rd party inks are like I would maybe get an engineer in, maybe give Stafford a call at Atlantic, he’s always on the boards and a great engineer
