    Hi all,

Looking at a small vinyl cutter (24inch) for decals and small print/cut jobs (I can get the print done at a local company)
I’d love to get a new or used Graphtec CE-6000 but it’s a over what I can currently afford (even a used model).

I’ve come across a second hand Roland CAMM-1 GX-24 which seems to be in very condition, local to me, and at a very reasonable price.

Just wondering if anyone has used this machine and what there thoughts are? (I’m used to a Summa cutter if that helps)

I’ll be using it 99% of the time for cut sign/decal vinyl (no garment vinyl), etch vinyl, and print/cut when necessary.

One question… when I currently do print and cut in my day job, we use Onyx RIP which sends the print file to the Latex printer and automatically adds the reg marks to the print file, prints them, and sends the data over to CutServer for when I put the print in the Summa cutter. Basically everything is done under one single program controlling both machines.

If I used the Roland cutter, could I produce a print ready file (PDF) at home which has the relevant reg marks, send it over to the local company to print for me, then put that print in my Roland cutter to cut?

    Any help would be appreciated.
