Removable vinyl installation in a busy shopping mall. Yes or No?
Evening all,
I need to print 3m x 5m print and apply this on face of the glass / shop. (so pass byers can touch / feel / peel this print)
Print needs to come down in 30 days. I’m removing it.
Planing to do this job with "Orajet 3628 super removable"
"Orajet 3628 super removable" or normal mono?
The reason I ask is: I dont want pass byers to easy remove / damage vinyl.

Read the spec of the standard removable and you may find that there is no guarantee for adhesive free removability, so there maybe some glue removal required. With the ultra removable you should get adhesive Free removability

Hi Graham,
It is not a problem if I need to clean up after I have removed the print. I’m more than ok with that.
My main worry is the performance of the "Orajet 3628 super removable" during the time print is up / applied on the outside of the store.

If the glue residue isn’t a problem go for the standard removable, that should put up with the knocks and bangs. I’m sure the ultra removable would work fine also but I guess could be more prone to being picked at especially if there are overlaps

Cant see why anyone would peel the print off the glass but for your piece of mind you could seal the edges by running a 20mm strip of normal vinyl around the edge of the print to seal the removable vinyl? -
A word of warning, check with the shopping centre, that they allow vinyl/graphics on the external window.
From experience, some don’t.

Also you will need millions on yourliability insurance & lots of data sheets for fire regs

Who’s writing? We had a client say the same, their client said the same. Shopping centre said no.
Your covered with it in writing, just saves you the headache.
Regards removable, I’ve found they stick just as well as permanent adhesive, its only when you come to remove it, you really notice the benefits.
You could stick some perm laminate over any joins, and slit when you come to remove.
