    hi guys , i have a graphtec CE6000-60

whenever i send it a large file through cutting master 3 , it runs very stop start, like cuts a small line then stops and so on.

is this a cutter issue or a computer memory problem?

its connected by USB with an extension.

David, normally a memory/buffering problem with stuff like this, don’t use cutting master personally so don’t know if this will help but I use to get problems if the number of files in the completed job folder got to large.
Try deleting the jobs that have been completed to see if that helps.

Sounds like a USB problem, attach a short usb lead and see if the problem persists. My graphtec doesn’t like along usb lead.

As Martin says, sounds like buffer overrun or underrun when the baud rates are too high or low / file spooler is off.

Run through your settings. I don’t use that program so no specific info.

We have the same issue with our FC8000, although it doesnt happen when using signlab.

I’d imagine it’s a setting somewhere in CM, but I have not had time to mess about with it.

I find keeping CM3 as the top window helps but isn’t practical.
