  • PDF has 5 pages – but RIP is only seeing 3

I have been sent a pdf to print which contains 5 separate pages of images. I can see each image when I view the pdf normally using a pdf reader, but when I open the file in my RIP it is only detecting 3 pages. Anyone have any idea why?

    Hi phil

    What rip are you using?

Our rip software will chuck out pages if it detects a problem with something on that page (transparency effects for example or badly created PDF’s from word or PowerPoint)

Can you have a look in the pdf properties to see what it was created with?

    Cheers

    Alex

The RIP is Wasatch Version 5
I’ve tried opening it in Signlab and all 5 pages are showing. It’s just the RIP that is missing the last 2

Extract each page as separate PDF.

We have an issue with our RIP if all the pages aren’t the same size, so have to extract them as single pages. E-mail it over if you’re struggling.

    Thanks Guys

I’ve saved the missing two pages as individual pdfs so have got around the problem.
This is a repeat print of a file we did two years ago with the same RIP and I don’t recall having this same problem back then
