i really like that Jason, top notch wrap mate…
the impact and the instant recognition of what the company offers is what a wrap is all about. this does the job very well indeed.

    Thats a good one.

Was it windows at the back Jason?

Did you fit over the seals and then cut away?

I realize this isn’t your design, the install looks nice.

But, if I could have had any input, I would have suggested at least an outline on the main copy to separate it from the background.

The cup of coffee really just looks like a circular thingee on there, and we hope people can recognize what coffee beans are, cuz it may look like a bunch of feces to some.
I love people who can layout brochures and think they can treat a vehicle layout in the same manner.

I’m an old schooler that has yet to (if ever) warm up to vehicle wraps, cuz I see so many bad ones out there. LETTERING first, Graphics second doesn’t seem to be the way anymore.

This one at least has images pertaining to what the company does, but once again the “pictures” have taken over the lettering.

It doesn’t look terrible by any means. I guess I may be a “wrap snob”.

Appreciate your wrapping skills Jason but can only agree with Stevo… at first sight (even second sight actually) could not grab the lettering, thought the picture was of peanuts and thought the coffee cup was top of a milk churn with mud in it.

Wraps and digi prints do have their place but first and foremost should be designing to get the message across not just throwing colours and flashy pictures at your intended viewers.

James: Yes its windows at the back. I just apply the vinyl over the top and then cut out the rubber seals. Although at first it looks like it will stay down over time it will lift and flake off. I won’t wrap over plastic or rubber and leave it there. You will notice I don’t go inside the wheel arches as well. It takes a lot of abuse in this area and people tend to pressure wash as well which doesn’t help.

Stevo & Ian: I agree with you. The design couldn’t be changed because they held a competition and a winner was chosen. The only thing I did change was the transition of the coffee beans from the sides to the back to make them appear as seamless as I could.

A lot of our wrap work lately is print and install only and customers have the design supplied and we sometimes only tweak it to make sure its going over the right areas of the vehicle.

    Cheers
