    Hi all,
    l have been getting a pop-up window in saying a “software update is required”, but it does not say which software!
    Following a YouTube video, I went to the Windows app store and found a few programmes that required updates.

    After updating the programmes, l found l had a problem with V10 Signlab.
    When l tried to cut vinyl on a Graphtec CE5000/60, a pop-up on Signlab says “Could not open output pipe“. I have a Roland XR-640, which is still working fine.
    l tried contacting Cadlink, who just tried to sell me Signlab V11. Then the woman said, “She has no knowledge and to go on the new owner’s Fiery communities site”. which takes 2 days to complete registration before you can ask a question!

    So, has anybody had this problem, and will reloading the Graphtec drivers sort this out?

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Nigel

    We use Signlab 10 on all our computers, and as far as I know, all the computers have the latest version of Windows and are up-to-date.
    We do not have any Signlab issues, that I know of! But we do get the occasional “nag window” that pops up asking us to update to Signlab 11. Of which I am not interested in doing so, at this point in time.

      The pop up l am getting is a windows issue, and by updating all windows app it has messed up communication with my cutter, my printer works fine, l did ring Cadlink in the hope of asking Ray what a solution was, but he has unfortunately retired, as has Bernard and its now owned by U.S. company Fiery, and the woman l spoke to just kept saying no tech support here now, buy v11, l only wanted to know if uninstalling and re-installing my cutter may resolve it, she was not willing to offer any help whatsoever. l cant even seem to find a driver online now, Graphtec website does not even list it, again, it works fine and it pointless buying a new one at my time in life! lol
