Onyx 22.5 Layout Tool Cut Issue
Experiencing an issue with Onyx layout tool, and cutting files on our Graphtec FC8600.
Print and cut works fine without using the layout tool.
However with a fleet of vehicles to brand, I want to print the graphics in groups IE 6x logos, then get onyx to print X sets of 6, cutting them in batches for accuracy. Hence using Layout Tool.When cutting the job that was set up in the layout in Cut Server, the cut drifts the further to left of the cutter.
Any suggestions, reinstalled onyx, and tested the cutter, I have an incline it’s software related, but can’t see an obvious fix.

I seem to have found a fix.
Turning off the segmental cutting, and just using 4 marks in Onyx.
Not too bad on this job as the logos are only about 900mm long, which might be an issue on longer runs.

I know you are saying it is a software issue, could it be a tracking or inconsistent contour cutting?
I am probably misinterpreting what the problem was, but we have had similar hiccups.
Sod’s law is it always happens when you least need the hassle. 🤨-
It only does it when the job is set up using the Layout tool. The same job set up using the print & cut quick set cuts bang on.
Using only 4 marks in cut server not the segment cut is spot on too.
Calibrated the plotter that’s right too.
Everything points to a software glitch if it reads the intermediate segment marks created in the layout tool.

I had the same issue on version 21, so much so that I had to stop using the layout tool (worked fine in version 18).
Tried version 22.0 when it came out as I could upgrade to it for free, this was even worse.
I reported all the bugs on every occasion with screenshots and test files, but never got sorted.
Since then I prepare all my files in coreldraw beforehand (nesting, repeats, etc) and print & cut from those without issues.

Glad it’s not just me! It has driven me round the twist. Try using 4marks in Onyx cut server see if that fixes it for you?
It’s in the configure cutter, setting can screenshot it when I am in tomorrow.

Will give it a try with just 4 but I tend to do long-ish runs so I prefer to use multiple registration points at a maximum distance of 500mm apart (Summa plotter).
Certain jobs I even do at 150mm apart!
