    Hi guys.

After all these years, being an owner of a Roland SP540V, I have never managed to print a decent grey without it showing a pink tinge. I believe this is a common problem with other printers as well.

Today it got a bit quiet, so I was messing about with settings, and I found out something.

If you go into Versaworks, under Quality / Colour Management, if you choose MAX DENSITY US. it prints a perfect grey! It works pretty well on MAX DENSITY JAPAN as well.

The media typesetting I was using was Generic vinyl 111 High quality.

I have not tried it on any other media types.

    Your welcome!

Our first job for our “thermal printer” 20+ years ago was this very issue!
the job was local authority work and it was for 60 odd vans. They were happy enough, but I hated them for this reason alone. pink/magenta tinge, not grey!
