    hello there.
i have a issue with my mutoh 650, when i switch it on the head first moves to the right hand side of the machine and actually hits the side of the inside casing. then it continues to read the size of the vinyl, is this because of the machine or i suspect some software setting, im using flexi sign 8.
    any suggestions would be great.

    thanks graham

sounds like your linear encoder is dirty, its happened to me in the past and after cleaning it the problem was solved.

Don’t know what sort of set up the Mutoh has but these problems can also be caused by the head position sensors not functioning correctly.

    Hi,

    If you google

mutoh linear encoder , it will give you all in the information needed. As for cleaning, one should note that extra extra care should be taken when cleaning, usually a good wipe with a damp cloth ( cooton no hard surface ) , but you should also contact your local dealer for further information.
