Mutoh Firmware update 2.0 wont let us use 3rd party inks
Morning all, hope you have all had a nice, relaxing weekend, We updated our firmware on our 1604 valuejet on Friday. only to discover this morning that our printer will no longer accept our (3rd party) inks, it comes up with chip error!?! Has anyone else updated their firmware and found to have the same error? I really don’t want to go back to being ripped off and paying top whack for my inks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😥

I think your ink guys should of been aware of this, so that would be my first port of call. I realise this is no help at all but…

The Ink guys were the first people we contacted, but they seemed more interested in giving me a lecture saying i shouldn’t have updated in the first place. From the reaction, i guess we might have brought it to his attention and he was in shock lol

what? you updated firmware without your suppliers knowledge? that never happens 😮
It’s not like they should keep up with it or not, and maybe send you a memo saying ‘DON’T DO IT’ or something… -
