Manifestations DDA
Do these doors require manifsatation under DDA. I didn’t think so due to them not being full glass and having the horizontal bar through them. Would just fitting dots at the higher level (1400 -1600mm) be accepted?

So yeah, I’d say bottom yellow bar splitting the glazing complies with DDA, so only higher level required.
solid bands, decorative features, or split bands of 50mm allowed.

I would say yes, Iain.
I agree that it looks pretty obvious there is a construction/door there, due to the yellow band of the door. but I imagine this is geared up for the worst-case scenario and all it takes is someone tall focusing straight ahead and they will miss the yellow band, and BANG! “should have gone to spec savers”. 😏😆 -
yeh, i think it is based on “in-line of sight” an adult or kid walking into the glass. so you have two levels of dots needed for safety. we did a a bunch of doors in a health centre and that’s what i was told.
