    Hi Guys,

This is the first time I have had to post on here, as I am usually able to solve the problems just by reading all the excellent advice you guys give. This time the problem is a lot worse than I can even figure out what to do. The printer with the problem is the Mimaki CJV150-107. We have had this printer for over 2 years now and it is out of warranty.

So the problem happened the other day when the head struck and the vinyl and the vinyl got tangled around the head somehow. I removed the vinyl and afterwards noticing a few drops of ink on the vinyl. It was at the end of the day so I give it the usual clean up and just left it overnight. The next day when coming in I did the material scan and noticed pools of ink all along the vinyl. I removed the case for the head and saw ink everywhere inside the print head. It came from two detached ink lines which I quickly reattached the lines and cleaned up as much of the ink as possible. I conducted all the maintenance cleans and the fill up ink, and did a test print and the result was only black showing. Then the machine went into a system halt with the code 1b4:PCB SLDR2H-F2 (which Mark from AIT has said could mean theres a problem with the slider PCB). At the moment we have left the machine switched off.

We have called Hybrid and they are saying 3 weeks just to get an engineer down. We tried AIT and they said most likely 2 weeks just to be able to get the part. We have tried GPT who just tried to refer us back to hybrid and Viz who said 2 – 3 weeks.

Does anyone know of anyone else we could possibly call? We are based in Belvedere, South East London.

Many Thanks in advance as I know you guys are always helpful.

    Dave

Thanks for your recommendation guys. This time of year is always difficult for response time what with people on holiday and so on. Without looking at the schedule I’m sure we could get somebody to check it out early next week.

    Stafford.

Hybrid after Sales is non existent after warranty & they don’t seem bothered hence why I switched away from Mimaki a pity because they are brilliant printers.

I have also used Atlantics service (I have the service contract with them) Always very helpful, fast response time, and fixed it quickly. Very impressed with their service.

My printer is only a year old, came with 3 years warranty… Hybrid have been nothing shy of useless.
