Looking for Small Laser or CNC machine
Hi all
Im looking for a Small Laser or CNC Machine that i dont need much ventilation dont want the hassle of ducting and something smaller than 3’ x2’ sort of area to do small CnC Work I originally wanted Laser but i have an issue of wanting to cut a Brushed effect material which I believe they dont do in laminate, I’m currently spending about £500 with a supplier and am sure i could get a better price if i did it myself, as my customer is on demand sometimes next day we need a quick turnaround so my supplier sometimes struggles as he’s got lots on himself and also they can be one-offs which is a lot of hassle for them. -

You can buy brushed effect laminates for use on lasers, try Gravograph, their stuff is very very good.
What other uses do you envisage? The problem is a lot of sign materials use PVC, and this is a HUGE no-no on laser.
And you will always need to vent a laser, either using a BOFA or similar, or out to air.
