I used to buy illuminated snap frames from Paperlinx.
I know they sourced them initially from Bright Green Technology http://www.brightgreentechnology.com
But they switched and i forget too who now.

    Applelec also do similar : http://www.applelec.co.uk/product/62/46 … frames.php

Strangely enough I had an email this morning from these folks, some good stuff and prices seem keen.

Yes I had the same email Peter – which was handy. Good prices too

Next question is what do you print on to make this work. i.e what substrate and will an ordinary cmyk printer produce a satisfactory result?

    Backlit polyester works well.

We run it on the MD3 clear profile for our printer, which puts lots of ink down, it looks really dark without the light behind it, but really pops when it’s on.

Normal print looks a bit washed out when we trailed it.
