keeping multiple pages open in SL 9?
Hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me if there is a way of keeping more than one job open in SL9? I find it extremely frustrating to not be able to flick back and forth between jobs, especially as the older versions I have used have always had this facility. I cannot find anything in ‘help’, is there any way to sort this out?

Options – click multiple instances.

Lorraine, I used to use this feature all the time but got so many crashes causing corrupted files I stopped using it.
I’d be interested to know if it works OK for you. -

I’d be interested to know if it works OK for you.Peter the system you are running it on will be the main reason for problems not the software itself, just because it works OK for Lorraine doesn’t mean it will be Ok for you. If you have upgraded your system or have a new system since you last tried it might be an idea to have another look at it.

Hi Martin & Lorraine, sorry, I’m still on version 8 which was installed on XP Pro when version 8 first came out.

Peter, I was using V 7.1, used to have the occasional crash when lots of pages open, usually when I was working too fast for the computer.
Now I have to sort out why Versaworks crashes sometimes.Thanks again. Power to UKSB!

I’ve always got multiple windows open in Flexi/illustrator etc.

I’ve never had any issues with multiple instances and I used it with before V5. (V5 didn’t really have the feature but if you tapped the enter button from a desktop icon you could get it to run deveral times) SL does do it as a instance of the programme rather than Corel Draw’s method of opening a separate page. Like most things both ways have advantages and dissadvantages.
